Well Hello there!!
I am Jamie Farrar, I am a WBU alumni and have been teaching art for 18 years. I teach 7th grade art, 8th grade art, and Art I -Art IV. I have such a passion for creating various types of art, not having any one favorite. Teaching art is most amazing and most rewarding job I could ever dream of having. In my classroom I focus on building creative confidence, and guide students through problem-solving strategies. We partake in group critiques, supporting and building an artistic relationship with each other while witnessing how every student develops and has their own unique style. Here, mistakes are welcomed! Mistakes are proof your student is trying, again building that creative confidence.
My goals are to spark creativity, teach technical skills, build student confidence, and foster a safe, inclusive space for self-expression. I want to encourage my students to see the world differently, appreciate art history, and learn how to solve problems and embrace mistakes through making art
