Congratulations to Paris Goodman for qualifying to participate in the Arkansas Governors Quiz Bowl Association’s junior high all-star tournament on Saturday, April 30, at Hendrix College. Paris is a seventh grade student at Walnut Ridge and is the daughter of Steven and Tonya Burroughs.



Congratulations to Cambry Woodson for receiving second place and Maggie Dunham for placing fourth in the region 4, Arkansas Stock Market Game.


Twenty-eight students participated in the 6th grade class spelling bee this week. The top 8 students advanced to the Lawrence County Spelling Bee that will take place on January 13th at Sloan-Hendrix.

Reminder:  Students aged 11 years old on or before Sept.1st of each year are required to recieve a Tdap vaccine.  Incoming 7th graders are required to recieve their 1st meningitis vaccine while students who are 16 on or before Sept 1 of each year are required to recieve their 2nd meningitis vaccine.  These vaccines need to be completed prior to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

All student council members make sure you are on remind for the summer.




Just a reminder: All students need to be washing hands/using hand sanitizer upon entering school, when changing classes, and as often as possible.
